I really wish the Morenatsu team had released the unused assets if only because I really want to know if Kyouji ever opens his eyes
After a week of using the Cintiq Companion Hybrid I can say I love drawing on it! It feels great to work on it. Although I gotta say, having extensively used UC Logic based devices like the Yiynova MSP19U, N-TRIG powered ones like the Surface Pro 3 and now the Cintiq Companion Hybrid, I can say UC Logic is completely on par with Wacom. The Cintiq is great, but if you need a screen to draw on and need to save some cash, don’t hesitate to go UC Logic.
Otherwise though? If you’ve got the cash for it, the Cintiq is great!
the worst part about like, one of my dreams being “i wanna make something that people enjoy” is that these days, the more people that enjoy something the more people that will go out of their way to hate it just because other people are liking it
like this is an observed phenomenon with recent things, especially with undertale
i don’t want something i make to be hated by a load of people who have never looked at it just because other people liked it…
like the only real options are to be mediocre, fly under the radar and disappear without making much of an impact, or try to do something that matters and get hated for it
Honestly? You don’t need those people. Judgemental barbarians who hate things for arbitrary reasons aren’t worth trying to placate. If it’s not one thing, it’s another with those who seek to justify their irrational hate of something. What’s important is that you’re happy and that you’re just doin’ you!
Toby actually addressed this bit on a tweet once, actually. I wouldn’t sweat it.
Drawing on the Cintiq feels great. It’s so nice to be drawing on something made for art again!
The Surface Pro 3 can be leveraged for good art and I love it to death but the difference between something that can be leveraged for something and being built for something is really obvious.
That said, though, I still think Wacom charges way too much for a mass produced item like a Cintiq. Still, it is a great device!
It’s always ridiculous whenever an anthro character is introduced in something and people are like “The furries are gonna have fun with THAT one!” as if their asses aren’t going to go commission or draw porn of the human characters.
Fuck.
Had my JET Program interview today. The whole thing is such a blur and it feels like it went in the blink of an eye. It’s surreal thinking about all of the research and practice I put into this only for it all come down to 20 minutes of make-or-break Q&A. I like to think I did alright, but with a program as competitive as JET, it’s hard to feel confident. I did my best. Here’s hoping my best is good enough to see “Shortlist” come April when results are announced.
It’s going to be a long two months.
I have an interview with the Japanese government for a spot on the JET Program. If I ace this interview, I’ll hope to see an acceptance in April when notifications go out. If all goes well, I’ll be on a plane to my new life in Japan come late July.
If I don’t get in. Well, you know how it goes.
I’m going to do my best! I have a lot of people rooting for me and this is something I really want. I’ve put so much time and effort into this long process and I’m going to see that I get a return on my investment!
I had a Morenatsu nostalgia trip last night. There still isn’t a game with gay anime furries as good as it, even if the bar isn’t particularly high. Goddamn I love the Minasato Nine.
wait, there are legit gay anime furry stuff out there?
There’s a few other kemono/furry visual novels out there, but I’m not really keen on any of them except for Lagoon Lounge, which is way different from Morenatsu but enjoyable in its own right.
Could you list the names of them please if possible? I didn’t think they existed since kemono stuff is pretty “hard to find” in japan
There’s tons of Kemono doujin stuff. Finding translated versions where the issue is. As far as visual novels go, there’s:
The Baka Club by The Bakas For The Bakas and Orekemo. Neither of which have been translated, nor does the team behind Orekemo wish for a translation.
On the west side of things, a promising one called Heart Throb Cafe is in the works. There’s also a few others, but none of those really catch my attention nor could I get into them.
And of course, I’m also working on my own called Werewolf Hostclub.
