I plan on having choices in future demos and the final product. As of now, Yuu is a placeholder protagonist and all of the demos are vignettes designed to be a proof of concept.
Alright guys! I have another concept demo of Werewolf Hostclub for you guys! This one’ll be the same before but with a new scene + Vinny’s other test sprites as well as typo corrections and the introduction of Togashi.

For the most part I threw his design together relying on instinct.
His name is based off Yoshihiro Togashi, the creator of Yu Yu Hakusho who started his career with a werewolf manga one-shot called I’m Not Afraid Of The Wolf!
But as far as design, I would say the Cyborg 009 jackets were an influence on his shirt buttons and legs were intentionally a call back to Lupin the 3rd.
Concept art of Togashi doing various poses. I want to understand this character more so I doodled up a bunch of silly poses.He has legs for days and boy is he going to use them. Togashi is a total ham and doesn’t just walk anywhere. He always hops, skips, twirls and dashes around.
I’m not sure yet, actually! The game is currently in a rough concept phase. First I’d like to finish a few demo scenes and go from there.
I don’t have everything sorted, but there are two things I’ve decided on regarding the game and where I plan on taking it.
The first is regarding sex scenes. I don’t plan on having any of those in my game and instead will have cute fluff and fanservice that doesn’t go past PG-13. Now, this isn’t because I hate porn and in fact I love me some man on man action and if people wanted to draw their own R-18 content of the werewolves, so be it seeing as they’re all adults anyway but ultimately I don’t feel like sex scenes belong in this game. I feel as if people seeking just cute fluff are often ignored in favor of sex scenes so I want to address that a bit. Of course, sex scenes can be done very well (one exceptional example is any sex scene in the Love Maintenance doujin series) but ultimately it’s not something I feel I want to do.
The second item is regarding the player character. I have a few ideas on how I’m going to tackle it, but I’ve decided I don’t want blank slate protagonists like Morenatsu’s Hiroyuki. Mr. Nishimura was kind of an awkward player character who sometimes came across as creepy.I feel it’s possible to write an interesting player avatar that’s also a character of their own. An example would be Hinata from Super Dangan Ronpa 2 who was a significant step up from Naegi.
Anyway these are some thoughts for now. Things can change over the course of development, but these are two things I strongly feel about my project and will stick to it.
Testing out the new sprites in engine. I might have to revise them because I’m not all that great at consistency or aligning. Vinny is supposed to be like 6′7 and Togashi 6′1 so there’s a bit of a clash here.
EDIT: Grouped together all the current concept art into a post. As I said before, there will be different werewolves with varying builds and personalities. I plan on 4 hosts + the club manager for now.
