I think it’s Niko’s birthday on the 28th (today here) so I did this as a warm up doodle before I go and work on my comic.

OneShot reminded me I have to do more with my own cinnamon roll child character, Scrander. They’re a robot character I came up with way back when. I still wanna do stuff with this character in the future. This drawing is pretty old. I think it’s from 2013 or so.

After playing OneShot (game) I remembered this ancient comic I drew when my little brother asked me why daylight savings was.
Also for some reason I drew my little brother as a bear???

I finished OneShot tonight. It originally came out in 2014 as an RPG maker title that recently got a Steam release. I decided to give it a (haha) shot. I was hooked and I really enjoyed it! The protagonist, Niko, is such a sweetheart and the game makes you care about them a lot. I don’t want to give anything away if anyone wants to play it. That said, I see a lot of comparisons to Undertale flying around and it’s understandable as both games have a similar general direction and use meta mechanics. However, they’re fundamentally different games and OneShot has it’s own identity.
The way I see it, OneShot is less Undertale and more like the Madhouse anime, Kaiba (not YuGiOh). I can’t really say much about the game without spoilers, so I really do recommend giving it a playthrough. It’s really short and won’t take you very long.
Every Christmas, among all the really not so great memories I remember one that I find hysterical even though it’s not all that funny. There was a guy on a forum who posted a picture of Marche from FFTA with the caption “hey guys” and the first response was “come on marche its christmas”
I don’t know why I find that funny, but it’s always on my mind on christmas lol
