nogitsunegabriel answered your question:Sketch trades?
I would like to do a sketch trade, but I don’t know what to ask for or if I’ll even get it done in a timely manner. Can I just do art of Lee at my own pace? ;3;
Sure! You can do that if you’d like, I don’t mind at all.
hello
Hola!
Please.

Sure!

097- 3-D Camera: Pictures taken with this will be developed as 3-D objects, with all textures reproduced. Make enlargements as needed.
I find this one to be very practical and will let me get the materials I need to advance my art career as I see fit. It’ll let me make things like new hardware, for instance.
093- An encyclopedia of everyone who’s been in your life since your birth, with records of conversations and memorable incidents. It may end up being tens of thousands of pages long.
I guess this one is a bit more personal, but I like the idea of being able to bring out a magic book that chronicles my life for me as it’ll help me keep track of my goals and let me have insight on what I’ve done before and what I’m doing.
026- Night Shift Dwarves (7 Working Dwarves) They can do any work you can do, and they will work as long as you are asleep. They cannot do anything beyond your abilities.
Since I want to be a self made artist, I feel like having extra help to draw things I need for my projects or other things will be helpful. It’d be like having an independent studio except everyone is at the same skill level. Presumably as I improve in my skills so too will the dwarves.
So yeah, those are my card choices! Sage’s Aquamarine was a very tempting choice bu I already have many intelligent friends that I hold close dearly. The other tempting one was Fleding Artist which would let me incubate a monster that’d give me amazing art skills, but then that’d take the fun out of learning as I really enjoy the challenge.

I’m sitting here & thinking to myself quietly about how bad that joke was.
I suffered greatly in the making of this image.

So I got my hands on some new equipment. I bought a Surface Pro 3 as a cheaper alternative to the Cintiq Companion. Ever since the Windows 10 press conference a while back, people on ebay have been underselling the Surface Pro 3 because rumors of a 4 coming. I wasn’t going to let this opportunity pass up since I was saving up for one of these for a long time. I’ll be giving it a test run today and I’ll let you guys know my impressions later on!
Lately I’ve been getting art advice questions from people I know and I gave the practice makes perfect advice. It’s solid advice and arguably one of the most important things someone can do to improve. However, there’s one more thing I tell people because it works for me. If you want to improve, a great way to do so is not only practice, but to change the language you use to talk to yourself. What I mean is, often I hear people say “I’ll do that later maybe” or “I can never do this”. Instead, use definitive and absolute language. Tell yourself you will do something and that you can do it. I know this sounds cliche but when you stop using weasel words and start using definitive language you start changing the way you think. When you start changing the way you think in a positive way you also gain more confidence and that confidence leads to the other important thing: TAKING RISKS. Risk taking is important because even if you “fail” you still learn something from that experience. The difference between a master and anyone else is that the master has taken more risks and allowed themselves to “fail”.
As children learning to walk we keep busting our asses and yet continue to do it until we mastered that skill. Somewhere along the line, humans get conditioned by society to stop having that attitude but if we just adopted it more in our lives we can sharpen the skills we want to master. You pick a goal and commit to it all the way!
So please, do yourselves a favor and practice not only your drawing skills, but also talking to yourself in a positive and definitive way.
Talk to yourself how you would your idol. BECOME YOUR OWN BIGGEST FAN!
