I’m not really a fan of the Tom Nook Loan Shark jokes.
I just think, goddamn, Tom Nook is such a good dad friend. I repeat this A LOT but like, he gives you, a kid on their own for the first time in their lives A HOUSE with a low mortgage to someone with no credit. Then he gives you a starter job and on top of that he straight up tells you to pay off the house at your own pace without any interest.
And then I start crying when I remember his development arc and how he went to the city and it changed him. Like for what little story Animal Crossing has, the Able Sister/Tom Nook story is really tear jerking.
Tom Nook is a cool guy.
Date a werewolf who would let you use their fluffy chest as a pillow
^^^^^!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vinny would!!!
A drawing @batttitude did of my character Ashe like two years ago

I have 3000 followers now
cool!
What if you had a romantic partner who introduced you to other people the same way History Channel opens up their shows?
WE MET THREE YEARS AGO BUT YOU WOULDN’T WANNA CATCH THEM IN THE ALLEYWAY (shitty camera flash noises with their mouth)
Question: how many of your characters started out as passing thoughts or random doodles that were later expanded on?
If I had to describe Vinny in one line, he’s like a hot chocolate on a cold winter night by the fireplace in the form of a werewolf boyfriend
A while back, I read an interview between Tofugu’s Mami Suzuki and manga writer, Araki Joh. He’s responsible for hits like Bartender. The interview has a wealth of information and inspiration for both writers and artists a like, and I hope you guys also find it as useful as I do.
askscolipedestuff reblogged your photo:I had the urge to draw Kouya in a 1960′s manga…
Jiro?!?
Yeah, that’s more or less it. Shotaro Ishinomori often drew protagonist like this, including Jiro.
One of my favorite aspects about living in Japan so far is the fact that I can buy art books from old manga series for dirt cheap. How cheap? I just bought the City Hunter art book for 1 yen. That’s right, one yen. For reference, 100 yen is about 1 USD. So one yen is like, a penny.
I also bought the Yu Yu Hakusho art book for 300 yen which is about 3 bucks.
Dunno about you guys, but I love going through old concept art of stuff I like and seeing how wildly different the concepts were from the original, especially with characters. That’s why, any time I work on concept art, I’m going to try and archive it all so that anyone looking, even if just one fan, can also experience the fun in seeing concept art of characters and stories they love.
What if the Pokemon GO teams were government sponsored teams made in order to curb illegal team activity? They would be publicly funded alternatives to gangs like Team Rocket and would have stuff like community service events and educational workshops for aspiring trainers. This way, young trainers can stay out of trouble while learning more about their world. Another cool idea would be joining one of the teams would be free training for the various Pokemon Leagues and stuff.
I also imagine each region would have 3 teams of its own all based on their local legends or something.
Hey guys I finally got a connection at home! Just thought I’d give you all a little update. Otherwise, Japan life is going smoothly so far. I’ve only been here for like, what, 3 weeks now? It feels much longer though.
izanameowe replied to your post:Aren’t you on JET? I’m on the wait list so I might…
Cool! Well I’m planning on applying next year if I don’t get in this year. Shooting for the Kyoto area but I’ll take anywhere.
My advice is to see what you can do to beef up your application. Maybe volunteer with kids or tutor some folk. If you made it this far, it means you had enough points to make it to the interview, so you should also do plenty of practice interviews. Good luck!
I am, yes! I hope you get upgraded! Don’t lose hope, I’ve heard of upgrades happening into December.
Me, in the middle of the night, as the sounds of Sapporo gently tuck me to sleep: “do werewolves have like fuckin werewolf facebook or something”
