I went into 2015 with the attitude that I would put in every effort to secure my future. There were a lot of times where I felt like happiness was too far away for me and sometimes it still does, but I still persisted. I did a lot more drawing, I drafted a project, I started taking internships to boost my resume, and applied for the JET Program.
I also made some great friends along the way and for them I am truly grateful. Late 2014-2015 was also when I started realizing I wanted to change my artistic trajectory to more kemono-centric work as well as visual novels as a medium.
I don’t really have much else to say other than I’m hoping 2016 is finally the year where my investments start to yield positive results!
Thank you!
Aw man.
Assuming I had a high budget and my pick of any studio? I would pick CoMix Wave Films. They’re responsible for 5 Centimeters Per Second and Garden of Words which have absolutely gorgeous background artwork. Imagine Minasato rendered in this style!

I feel like the type of story Morenatsu is would benefit from having gorgeous backgrounds like this!
Other studios I would consider are Studio Trigger which did Little Witch Academia. The style that LWA is animated in would really work for the high energy mood the Morenatsu crew can produce at times. Now, if I assumed it was a 13 episode anime with an average budget (which is around $2-4 million dollars) I would probably go with Studio Bones who does pretty good stuff with average budgets! Madhouse would be great too, but I feel like their work is better suited for really high octane work like the fight scenes in One Punch Man or the movie REDLINE.
So yeah, those are a few studios which I would hire if I had my way.
~It’s because I’m cute and my art reflects that reality~
No but really, it’s just how how the styles that have influenced mine came together!
I was reading some of the interviews with ONE, the creator of One Punch Man and I really think they’re worth reading if you ever need a boost of morale as an artist.

There are other interviews too with the anime producers and voice actors as well as Yusuke Murata.
ok so do i get a hot werewolf under my tree if im on the naughty list or do i have to be on the nice list???
I’ve been seeing that furry visual novel Major/Minor going around on my dashboard lately and people are being absurdly spiteful of it. There’s actual criticisms to be said about the visual novel certainly. I personally don’t agree with the game’s aesthetic or character designs! And from what little I’ve seen of the writing, it could use improvement. However, no one is pointing any of these things out and instead are stepping on it on virtue that it exists. The one thing I keep seeing people harp on is that there’s a self insert in it.
Of the person who made the game.
A single character out of like 16.
The other complaints include how it was a Kickstarter game but all it asked for was $100. It got $700 out of it which is still not all that much by KS standards. The people who backed it? They knew what they were getting into so the KS argument doesn’t really lend itself to these people’s complaints.
Ultimately, it’s just a small game from someone who wanted to have fun. The people attacking it are being unreasonable and just want something to get angry at.
Make something so popular that people start to hate it just because its popular
Make it so popular that people call it The New Homestuck ™
Make it so popular people complain in Skype calls how much they hate that thing and its fans simply for existing
As you can see, I have very noble goals.
I’ve gotten to a point in my life where I respond to any of my character’s names.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for the birthday wishes everyone! I really appreciate them. Even if I don’t reply, I’ve been reading each one, so thank you very much!
Thank you :D
Oh my!

I was born 25!
Gracias~!
Thank you!
Thanks!!
What do people normally do on their birthdays? Make a joke about leveling up? Lament that they’re getting old?
Regardless, I bought myself some cheesecake and goddamn I’m going to eat all of it!
Hey guys, I’ve been slower than usual producing art for a number of reasons. The first is I’m really busy with school, volunteering as an academic tutor, and generally running around making sure my goals are in check. I’m also having a few issues with my current drawing tools, but I should be able to get it situated. I submitted the JET Program application a few weeks ago. Here’s hoping the Japanese government picks me to teach English over there!
In other news, my birthday is this Friday on the 27th. I’ll be 25! Normally I feel really bad about advertising my own birthday because it feels manipulative to demand attention, but to hell with it. Getting attention on the one day it’s most likely justified isn’t wrong as long as I’m not a jerk about it, right? Anyway, a simple “happy birthday!” on Friday will go a long way with me. I like well wishes.
Or, if you’re feeling particularly adventurous you can dig through my Amazon wishlist and get me 50 packs of Umaibou , among other things. You don’t have to though and I’m generally not public about my wishlist because it makes me feel like an entitled jerk but I also have to learn not to feel bad about wanting attention and neat stuff.
Anyway this became more of my own ramblings than a proper journal post. Thanks for reading!
